Returns policy Options

Our returns policy applies if you have any issue with your goods supplied by ourselves. Please contact us immediately so that we can start the process to rectify the situation for you.

All our goods and services are covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If any of our products are found to be defective we will refund your money on the following conditions.


All products should be examined on receipt. Any claims for damage under our returns policy should be made within 5 days of receipt. If we accept the claim then we will require the goods to be returned before a refund will be issued. Please contact us via our contact page and we will be happy to sort this out for you.


Any returns should be made within 14 days of receipt of your order. Returns should include a copy of your documentation so that we can track it properly. Please ensure that you obtain proof of posting for every package as we may ask for it later.


Once we are satisfied that the goods were faulty on receipt we will refund the purchase price in full by reversing the initial method of payment. This means if you have paid by PayPal, the refund will return via PayPal etc.

Hatching Eggs returns policy (non-refundable)

Please note that once we have posted eggs to you, we are at the mercy of the postal system. We have taken great care with ensuring that our packaging will protect the eggs during transit. However this is where we cease our responsibility. Hatching eggs are a natural product and are regularly tested for fertility throughout the season by our own hatching process. Our eggs are therefore believed fertile. The actual hatching result is dependant on factors such as incubator choice, storage of eggs before incubation, speed of setting up your incubator. Eggs should be set before the 10th day after laying. The date of lay is clearly marked on every egg. If you delay putting the eggs in an incubator then the hatch-rate will suffer. Other factors which affect hatchability are the damage which may have been sustained in transit. Postal workers are not always respectful of any package, even those marked as “Fragile”. After the eggs leave us, other factors are completely beyond our control. Eggs are not returnable under our returns policy.

We also buy hatching eggs through the post for our own stock and we understand that it is a complete risk. We expect to get between zero and 70% hatching when we ourselves buy in hatching eggs. To get 80% from posted eggs is considered a good hatch. Even eggs that have been on a car journey can suffer with jolts and bumps that can affect hatching success.

For the above reasons we do not refund for hatching eggs. If you are not happy with this then please do not buy them.

We have found that some – less than honest – people are claiming the eggs are not hatching, only to find out that they have sold them on and posted them a second time. Some claim that the eggs have not hatched to get a second lot. This is despite the eggs actually hatching and they are wanting a second lot for free. If you are still feeling like you wish to dispute the fertility of the eggs, then please contact us to set up a Zoom call where we can verify your claim. Without real-time witnessing of the opening of our clearly marked eggs we are unable to help.
